Arizona Needs Stronger Unemployment Protections

Arizona has the second lowest unemployment insurance in the country at only $240 a week. Other western states pay 50% or more to keep their residents afloat until they can return to work or find a new job.

That is why Opportunity Arizona supports XXXX sponsored by Representative Mitzi Epstein, which would create stronger unemployment protections for Arizonans looking for work.

With workers unable to find safe work at no fault of their own, they should not be forced to choose between paying their rent or putting food on the table. Rep. Esptein’s bill would be an important step forward in ensuring no Arizonan would have to do that again.
